Abstract
This paper presents an analysis of temperature monitoring data with application of wireless measurement system and simulation tool for two classrooms with different types of windows. The system for temperature monitoring was realized with GPS/GPRS (Global Positioning System/General Packet Radio Service) system for low power data acquisition using MSP430 Texas Instruments microcontroller. Due to heat loss analyses, continual measurements of ambient and outside temperatures with sampling time of one hour were performed. The simulation models which reproduce temperature measurements of school buildings were used for energy analysis. For the simulation, the software Design Builder was used. The results were used to develop generalized guidelines for the efficiency of energy-saving measures and evaluation of low-energy buildings.
