The role of the Pan-European corridors in establishing Serbian tourist offer

Abstract

Contemporary political and economic trends impose the necessity of an efficient inter-regional connection in Europe, which was the reason for establishing the network of Pan-European corridors. The aim is to indicate Pan-European corridors as necessary, but not sufficient condition for the formation of the overall Serbian touristic offer. It is one element of the touristic offer that only in synergy with other primary and secondary elements and factors gives full effects to the touristic trade. An endeavour was made to examine qualitative features of the Serbian touristic offer along corridors through comparative analysis. The conclusion has been derived by implementation of some quantitative indicators.

Savremeni politički i ekonomski trendovi nameću potrebu efikasnog međuregionalnog povezivanja na području Evrope, zbog čega je ustanovljena mreža Panevropskih koridora. Cilj rada je da ukaže na značaj Panevropskih koridora kao neophodnog, ali ne i dovoljnog uslova za formiranje celokupne turističke ponude Srbije. Reč je o samo jednom elementu turističke ponude koji tek u sinergiji sa ostalim primarnim i sekundarnim elementima i faktorima daje pun efekat u turističkom prometu. Nastojalo se da se uporednim analizama ispitaju kvalitativne mogućnosti razvoja turističke ponude Srbije duž koridora. Zaključak je izveden korišćenjem pojedinih kvantitativnih pokazatelja.
