Quality of the surface and ground water in the municipality of Subotica

Abstract

All the activities and development processes existing on the territory of the municipality of Subotica result in certain effects on the environment. Based on the analysis of the present environmental state, the authors identified certain influences on the quality of the surface and ground water. It is necessary to pay attention much more on the problem of the pollution and protection of the surface and ground water, considering insufficiency of water recourses on this territory, as well as its threatened quality.

Sve delatnosti i razvojni procesi koji su prisutni na području opštine Subotica, manifestuju se određenim uticajima na okruženje. Na osnovu analize postojećeg stanja životne sredine, u radu su identifikovani određeni uticaji na kvalitet površinskih i podzemnih voda. Problemu zagađivanja i zaštite površinskih i podzemnih voda mora se posvetiti posebna pažnja, imajući u vidu da se ovo područje karakteriše nedovoljnom količinom vodnog resursa, čiji je i kvalitet ugrožen.
