Atmospheric circulation and the precipitation variability in Serbia for period 1949-2004

AB  - In this paper we have analyzed the correlation between the atmospheric circulation and annual precipitation in Serbia for period 1949-2004. The data for frequency Hess-Brezowsky circulation forms and types were used as indicators of atmospheric circulation. Statistically significant coefficient of a negative sign is obtained for zonal and half-meridional form and a positive sign for meridional form. The strength of correlation is not uniform in the space. According to the multiple linear regression the contribution of atmospheric circulation in the variability annual precipitation of Serbia is 69%. Also, we analyzed the connection between the atmospheric circulation and the mean annual cloudiness. Comparing the results for this two climate elements we have concluded that they show different time-space development for same macrosynoptic conditions. Also, we can speak about the regional aspects of these processes. .
AB  - U ovom radu analizirana je povezanost između cirkulacije atmosfere i godišnjih padavinskih suma u Srbiji za period 1949-2004. Kao pokazatelji cirkulacije atmosfere korišćeni su podaci za učestalost Hes-Brezovski cirkulacionih formi i tipova. Statistički značajna veza negativnog znaka dobija se za zonalnu i polumeridionalnu formu i pozitivnog znaka za meridionalnu formu. Pokazane su i neravnomernosti u prostornom rasporedu jačine veze. Zahvaćenost varijanse godišnjih suma padavina Srbije u celini cirkulacijom atmosfere je 69%. U radu je takođe analizirana veza između cirkulacije atmosfere i srednje godišnje oblačnosti u Srbiji. Poređenjem rezultata za ova dva klimatska elementa zaključuje se da oni pokazuju različit prostorno-vremenski razvoj pri istim makrosinoptičkim uslovima. Takođe, može se govoriti i o regionalnom aspektu navedenih procesa. .

AB  - In this paper connection between temperature changes and North Atlantic oscillation (NAO) has been investigated in the period from 1979 until 2006. Satellite temperature data from UAHMSU were investigated in relation to North Atlantic Oscillation index on the Earth, in Europe and in Serbia. Statistically insignificant correlation coefficient has been obtained for the area of Serbia. The analysis of periodicity of 2.8±0.5 year is in accordance with that one obtained by Landschieidt (2001). However, in order to give final conclusion regarding to climate change more parameters should be analyzed.
AB  - U radu je istraživana veza između temperature vazduha i Severno atlantske oscilacije (NAO) u svetu , u periodu od 1979. do 2006. godine. Ispitivana je veza između satelitskih podataka temperature vazduha UAHMSU i NAO indeksa na prostoru Srbije (17.5-22.5°E i 42.5-47.5°N ), u Evropi (10-45°E i 35-70°N) i svetu po pojasevima od po 10° geografske širine. Uočen je statistički nesignifikantan koeficijent korelacije za prostor Srbije. Analiza elementarne periodičnosti je pokazala da u posmatranom periodu prosečna dužina osnovne periode za MSU od približno 2.8±0.5 godina, odgovara periodičnosti varijanse NAO, koju je dao Landschieidt (2001). Ipak, u isticanju mogućih uzroka savremenih kolebanja klime trebalo bi istovremeno analizirati više parametara cirkulacije atmosfere.

Seasonal variability of Crvena river water mineralization

AB  - The mineralization of water and its content in Crvena River so far have not been studied. Water sampling was conducted from April 2008 - May 2009. Total mineralization is relatively low, which is consistent with the dominant lithological structure (Permian red sandstone). Dry residue contains Ca2+ ion, with the increased participation of SiO2. During the observational period it is clearly expressed seasonal effect. It is reflected not in the direct but the indirect impact. Based on the ratio of individual ions a model is determined for estimation of water flow at the confluence of the Crvena River in Nisava River. It could be applied to other drainage basins that have not been studied so far.
AB  - Mineralizacija voda i njena struktura u slivu Crvene reke do sada nije bila predmet istraživanja. Uzorkovanja voda vršena su u periodu april 2008.- maj 2009. godina. Ukupna mineralizacija je relativno niska, što je u skladu sa preovlađujućim petrološkim sastavom (permski crveni peščari). U strukturi suvog ostatka dominira Ca2+ jon, uz povećano učešće SiO2. U toku osmatranog perioda postoji jasno izražen sezonski uticaj. On se ogleda ne u njegovom direktnom, već u posrednom uticaju, preko vodnosti, aktivnosti vegetacije i aktiomiceta. Na osnovu odnosa pojedinih jona utvrđen je model procene proticaja na ušću Crvene reke u Nišavu. On bi se, sa izvesnim korekcijama, mogao primeniti i na drugim hidrološki neizučenim slivovima.

The natural conditions as a limiting factor for the development of Serbian-Macedonian border area

AB  - Natural conditions of certain area imply to the complex influence of various elements of the environment (surface, relief, climate, water, vegetation type) and man, and knowledge of their recent state represents basis of an integrated approach in the land use planning. Analysis of natural conditions and processes in the Serbian-Macedonian border area is usually done through the valorization of natural potentials, but aspect of their limiting influence on the development of this territory - natural hazards assessment has remained unresolved. Degree of natural hazards vulnerability of a certain territory is an important factor in land use planning, because it represents a threat to the undisturbed development of a certain teritory. The basic idea of this paper is to provide multi-hazard assessment and the integral map of areas vulnerable to various types of natural hazards in Serbian-Macedonian border area. In this way seclusion of areas where natural conditions can represent the limiting factor for the development of the analyzed territory shall be performed.
AB  - Pod prirodnim uslovima nekog prostora podrazumeva se kompleks uticaja različitih elemenata prirodne sredine (podloge, reljefa, klime, vode, tipa vegetacije) i čoveka, a poznavanje njihovog recentnog stanja predstavlja osnovu integralnog pristupa u planiranju korišćenja površina. Analiza prirodnih uslova i procesa u pograničnom prostoru Srbije i Makedonije najčešće je vršena kroz valorizaciju prirodnih potencijala, ali je ostao nerazjašnjen aspekt njihovog ograničavajućeg uticaja na razvoj ove teritorije - povredivost prirodnim hazardima. Stepen ugroženosti određene teritorije prirodnim hazardima predstavlja bitan činilac u planiranju korišćenja zemljišta, jer su oni pretnja nesmetanom razvoju nekog prostora. Osnovna ideja ovog rada je da se za pogranični prostor Srbije i Makedonije uradi multi-hazard assessment i kreira the integral map sa površinama ugroženim različitim tipovima prirodnih hazarda. Na taj način izvršiće se izdvajanje površina na kojima prirodni uslovi mogu predstavljati ograničavajući faktor razvoja analizirane teritorije.

AB  - The Upper Barremian-Lower Aptian succession is recorded from a limestone sequence that crops out in the surrounding of Rakova Bara in the Carpatho-Balkanides range in northeastern Serbia. The micropalaeontological and sedimentological studies lead to recognition of the two types of microfacies. The benthic foraminiferal association consists of Vercorsella laurentii, Rumanoloculina robusta, Praechrysalidina infracretaceae, Dictyoconus gr. arabicus, Debarina hahounerensis, Charentia cuvilieri and Pseudocyclammina lituus that confirm the stratigraphical and palaeoenvironmental connection of the microfossil assemblages with the classical Urgonian-type, shallow-water carbonate sedimentation. The association documented for the first time in the study area is considered typical of the Tethyan Realm. The stratigraphical position of the benthic foraminifera species within the Upper Barremian-Lower Aptian interval is discussed. The Urgonian Limestone's of the studied section are comparable with adjacent areas of eastern Serbia and Romanian South Carpathians.
AB  - U radu je prikazana gornjobaremsko-donjoaptska sukcesija sedimenata otkrivenih u okolini sela Rakova bara u severoistočnoj Srbiji. Mikropaleontološkim i sedimentološkim istraživanjima su izdvojena dva tipa mikrofacija. U okviru bentoske foraminiferske asocijacije su utvrđene sledeće vrste: Vercorsella laurentii, Rumanoloculina robusta, Praechrysalidina infracretaceae, Dictyoconus gr. arabicus, Debarina hahounerensis, Charentia cuvilieri i Pseudocyclammina lituus čije stratigrafsko rasprostranjenje u okviru definisanih depozicionih sredina ukazuje na klasično urgonsko razviće ovih sedimenata. Determinisana mikroasocijacija je tipična za Tetis i dokumentovana je po prvi put u ovom delu Karpato-balkanida severoistočne Srbije. Stratigrafska pozicija determinisanih vrsta je diskutovana i izvršeno je poređenje ovih tvorevina sa susednim oblastima istočne Srbije i Južnih Karpata Rumunije sa kojima pokazuju veliku sličnost.

Climatic extremes in Serbia: Definitions, types and classification

AB  - Climatic extremes as negative events are named to be one of the major problems of humankind today. Still, their complex and systematic study is missing - they are studied only as an 'attachment' to the problem of contemporary climate changes. Number of terms is used arbitrarily, such as climatic extremes and extreme climate events. From the geographical perspective, there is a need to define extremes and classify them at first, and only then to establish criteria for their identification, to link the problem to the geographical base, etc. There should be a specific approach for every area on Earth. In this work 31 extreme climate events have been isolated and defined, and all of them, according to their specific characteristics and their harmfulness, have been classified into 5 categories. Systematic geographical studies of these events could intensify the fight against atmospheric hazards in Serbia and help the system of insurance of people and material goods. There should be regulations that would include precise definitions of all hazards with precise borders of the harmfulness of the event, then the assessment of the possible endangerment and the possibility of protection in certain regions, etc.
AB  - Klimatski ekstremi kao nepovoljne pojave danas se svrstavaju među najveće probleme čovečanstva. Ipak, nedostaje njihovo kompleksno i sistematsko proučavanje, a ne kao 'privezak' problemu savremenih promena klime. Mnogi termini se koriste proizvoljno, kao klimatski ekstremi i ekstremne klimatske pojave. Sa aspekta geografije postoji potreba prvo za definisanjem ekstrema i njihovom klasifikacijom, a tek onda za uspostavljanjem kriterijuma za njihovo identifikovanje, za povezivanje problema sa geografskom osnovom itd. Za svaki prostor na Zemlji neophodan je specifičan pristup. U radu je izdvojena i definisana ukupno 31 ekstremna klimatska pojava u Srbiji i sve su na osnovu specifičnosti i stepena štetnosti svrstane u 5 kategorija. Sistematska geografska proučavanja ovih pojava bi mogla intenzivirati borbu protiv atmosferskih nepogoda u Srbiji i pomoći sistem osiguranja ljudi i materijalnih dobara. U okvirima regulativa morale bi da se nalaze precizne definicije svih nepogoda sa preciznim granicama štetnosti pojave, zatim procene moguće ugroženosti i mogućnosti zaštite u pojedinim regionima i sl.

AB  - In this paper the air temperature changes have been investigated on the base of satellite measurement, in the period from 1979 until 2006. The analysis has shown that there is no temperature amplification with altitude. Data for Serbia have shown negative trend of temperature in the last 20 years of the investigated period. Although it is not statistically significant, the sign is not in accordance with the increasing CO2 concentration. This may mean that the sign of satellite temperature doesn't support hypothesis about domination of anthropogenic greenhouse effects. .
AB  - U radu je analizirana promena temperature vazduha u Srbiji i svetu, na osnovu podataka satelitskih osmatranja, u periodu od 1979. do 2006. godine. Analiza trenda je pokazala da nema amplifikacije trenda porasta temperature sa visinom. Analiza za Srbiju pokazala je u poslednjih 20 godina u posmatranom periodu od 1987. do 2006. godine negativan, trend temperature vazduha. Iako statistički nesignifikantan, znak trenda nije saglasan sa rastućom koncentracijom antropogenog SO2. To bi značilo da znak promena satelitskih temperatura vazduha u posmatranom periodu nije u skladu sa očekivanim, u uslovima dominacije antropogenog efekta staklene bašte.

Possible causes of contemporary Nisava River discharge variability

AB  - Nisava River is the largest tributary of the South Morava River of length 248 km, of which 151 km is in Serbia. Annually to all three hydrological profiles (Pirot, Bela Palanka and Nis) in the reporting period (1961-2000) has been observed decrease in discharge. That would be in accordance with the IPCC's claims about the domination of the influence of anthropogenic greenhouse gases on the reduction of rainfall and discharge in Serbia. However, the area of the Nisava basin in the second half of the XX century has shown decrease in air temperature. The station Dimitrovgrad, in the upper part of the basin, from 1949 to 2007 showed trend of annual temperature of -0.0049ºC per year, which does not fit to the concept of dominance of anthropogenic greenhouse gases. And the trend of rainfall in this period, changes sign from negative to positive (0.1175mm per year), so that it does not fit the concept of domination of the global anthropogenic impact on regional models of IPCC. Regarding to this and projections of possible climate change in the future all potential climatic factors should be taking into account.
AB  - Nišava je najveća pritoka Južne Morave dužine 248 km, od čega u Srbiji 151 km. Na godišnjem nivou se na sva tri hidrološka profila (Pirot, Bela Palanka i Niš) u posmatranom periodu (1961-2000) uočava pad proticaja. To bi bilo u skladu sa tvrdnjama IPCC-a o dominantnom uticaju antropogenog efekta staklene bašte na smanjenje padavina i proticaja reka u Srbiji. Međutim, na području sliva Nišave je u drugoj polovini HH veka došlo do pada temperature vazduha. Na stanici Dimitrovgrad, u gornjem delu sliva, periodu od 1949. do 2007. trend godišnje temperature iznosi -0,0049ºC po godini, što se ne uklapa u koncept dominacije antropogenog efekta staklene bašte. I trend padavina u tom periodu menja znak od negativnog ka pozitivnom (0.1175mm po godini), tako da se ni on ne uklapa u koncept dominacije globalnog antropogenog uticaja po regionalnim modelima IPCC-a. S tim u vezi, i u projekcijama eventualnih promena klime u budućnosti treba pristupiti kompleksnije, imajući u vidu sve potencijalne klimatske faktore.

Mineralization of the surface waters in the Visočica drainage basin: Supplement for the landscape-ecologic analysis

AB  - The drainage basin is spatially and functionally clearly defined and relevant hydrologic, geomorphologic and ecologic landscape totality. Therefore, it mostly represents basic geo-spatial unit of generation, monitoring, and studying numerous physical-geographical and geo-ecologic occurrences and processes. One of the most important components of geo-space, on the level of basin, is manifested through the state and quality of surface waters. So, the acceptance of systematic approach in studying mineralization of the surface waters would contribute to the deeper understanding of the process in complex systematic surroundings which drainage basin represents. The Visočica Drainage Basin was chosen as proving ground of this kind of the research approach for several reasons. The highest specific runoff on the territory of Eastern Serbia, heterogeneous geologic structure of terrain, almost complete absence of the influence of the anthropogenic factor on the state of the environment, as well as the existence of water accumulation enabled perception of the values of dissolved mineral substances of surface waters as landscape-ecologic component of geo-space.
AB  - Sliv je prostorno i funkcionalno, jasno definisana i relevantna hidrološka, geomorfološka i ekološka predeona celina. Zato on najčešće predstavlja osnovnu geoprostornu jedinicu generisanja, praćenja i proučavanja mnogobrojnih fizičko-geografskih i geo-ekoloških pojava i procesa. Jedna od najznačajnijih komponenti geoprostora na nivou sliva manifestuje se kroz stanje i kvalitet površinskih voda. S toga bi prihvatanje sistemskog pristupa u proučavanju mineralizacije površinskih voda potpomoglo dublje razumevanje procesa u složenom sistemskom okruženju kakav je sliv. Kao poligon takve vrste istraživačkog pristupa sliv Visočice odabran je iz nekoliko razloga. Najviši specifični oticaji na prostoru istočne Srbije, heterogen geološki sastav terena, skoro potpuno odsustvo uticaja antropogenog faktora na stanje životne sredine, kao i postojanje vodne akumulacije Zavoj omogućilo je sagledavanje vrednosti rastvorenih mineralnih materija površinskih voda kao predeono-ekološke komponente geoprostora.

AB  - The paper analyzes changes in age structure of 42 settlements of Zaječar community from aspects of total amount of population, population size, sort, type and the hypsometric zone they belong to. Statistical analysis done on a two census years (1971. and 2002) shows the oldening of all the settlements, as well as dependence of changes in age structure of the sort of settlements, their population size and altitude. The age structure of villages, smaller settlements and those from higher hypsometric zones is worsening faster. The analysis doesn't show statistical connection between the age structure and the type of settlement.
AB  - Rad se bavi analizom nekih aspekata promena u starosnoj strukturi stanovništva 42 naselja opštine Zaječar sa pozicija ukupnog stanovništva, populacione veličine, vrste i tipa naselja i visinske zone kojoj ona pripadaju. Statistička analiza izvedena u 2 vremenska preseka (1971. i 2002. godine) pokazuje starenje svih naselja opštine, kao i zavisnost izmena njihove starosne strukture od vrste naselja, njegove populacione veličine i nadmorske visine. Seoska naselja, naselja sa manjim brojem stanovnika i većom nadmorskom visinom stare brže. Tip naselja je jedini ispitan faktor čija statistička povezanost sa promenama u starosnoj strukturi nije potvrđena.

AB  - Stereotype researches of natural conditions on the territory of Serbia have caused limited application value of the large number of recent development strategies and planning documents of different purpose. The best indicator of this is the Strategy of development of planning area of the municipality Ub where, apart from general analysis of natural potential, determining the areas endangered by different intensity of geomorphologic processes was neglected in many ways. At what extent the territory is at risk of slope processes represents an important factor in choosing the location and planning the purpose of the land use, and in defining the degree of concentration of physical structure and objects of infrastructure. This kind of analysis is unavoidable segment of strategy for spatial development of some territory. Therefore, apart from the analysis of natural conditions as the potential of development of some territory, the same attention should be paid to rightful assessment of degree of impairment of the territory, i.e. limitations for its development and growth. .
AB  - Stereotipna istraživanja prirodnih uslova na teritoriji Srbije uslovljavaju ograničenu aplikativnu vrednost velikog broja dosadašnjih strategija razvoja i planskih dokumenata različite namene. Najbolji pokazatelj toga je Strategija razvoja planskog područja opštine Ub, gde je osim opšte analize prirodnih potencijala umnogome zapostavljeno determinisanje površina ugroženih različitim intenzitetom geomorfoloških procesa. Kolika je ugroženost neke teritorije padinskim procesima predstavlja bitan činilac pri izboru lokacije i planiranju namene korišćenja zemljišta, pri određivanju stepena koncentracije fizičkih struktura i infrastrukturnih objekata. Ovakva vrsta analiza predstavlja nezaobilazni segment strategija prostornog razvoja neke teritorije. Dakle, osim analize prirodnih uslova kao potencijala razvoja nekog prostora, jednaka pažnja se mora posvetiti i pravilnoj proceni stepena povredivosti prostora, odnosno ograničenja za njegovo korišćenje i razvoj. .

AB  - Apart from other geomorphologic processes (glacial erosion, nivation, abrasion) which are predominantly determined by the intensity of natural factors, soil erosion is significantly determined by anthropogenic influences. Despite the fact that the physical-geographic factors are important determinants of the erosion intensity this geomorphologic process has also demographic, socio-economic, environmental, and multidisciplinary aspects as well. Control works, some demographic characteristics of the territory and the type of land use are the direct and indirect anthropogenic influences and modifiers of the intensity of this process. The basic idea of this paper is to assess the basic socio-geographic change over certain area and to determine its effects on the erosion intensity.
AB  - Za razliku od drugih geomorfoloških procesa (glacijalne erozije, nivacije, abrazije) čiji je intenzitet dominantno determinisan prirodnim faktorima, erozija zemljišta je značajno određena i antropogenim uticajima. I pored činjenice da su fizičko-geografske karakteristike prostora važne determinante intenziteta erozije zemljišta, ovaj geomorfološki proces ima demografski, socio-ekonomski, ekološki, ali i multidisciplinarni aspekt. Antierozivni radovi, demografske karakteristike neke teritorije i namena korišćenja zemljišta predstavljaju direktne i indirektne antropogene uticaje, odnosno modifikatore intenziteta ovog procesa. Osnovna ideja ovog rada je sagledavanje osnovnih društveno-geografskih promena na nekoj teritoriji i utvrđivanje njihovog uticaja na promenu intenziteta erozije zemljišta.

AB  - Aleksandrovac Zupa represents the example of territorial area with composite geological structure and furthermore compound geotectonic framework. Due to the character of some formations, framework and time relation of deformation, these areas belong among the most compound on the Balkan Peninsula. On its territory, the big and composite structural-facies zones are being confronted and became imbued. In a stratigraphic point of view, the largest extend have the Miocene deposits that overlain the crystalline schists of Proterozoic. .
AB  - Aleksandrovačka Župa predstavlja primer teritorijalne celine složenog geološkog sastava i još složenijeg geotektonskog sklopa. Prema karakteru pojedinih formacija, sklopu i vremenskim odnosi-ma deformacija ovi tereni spadaju među najsloženije na Balkanskom poluostrvu. Na njenoj teritoriji se sučeljavaju i prožimaju velike i složene strukturno-facijalne zone. U stratigrafskom pogledu najveće rasprostranjenje imaju miocenske tvorevine koje predstavljaju povlatu kristalastim škriljcima proterozoika. .

The research has been carried out with the aim of finding out the relation between the Tertiary and its Triassic bedrock (Ladinian and Carnian stages) in which process the considerable realistic image of paleorelief (the bedrock of Tertiary deposits) was obtained.
AB  - U radu je izvršena analiza stratigrafsko-tektonskih karakteristika basena Mačve na osnovu podataka koji su dobijeni dubokim istražnim bušenjem rađenim za potrebe projekta hidrogeotermalnih istraživanja u cilju utvrđivanja rezervi geotermalne energije Mačve. Sprovedeno je istraživanje čiji je cilj bio utvrđivanje odnosa između tercijara i njegove trijaske podloge (ladinski i karnijski kat) pri čemu je dobijena dosta realna slika o izgledu paleoreljefa (podloga tercijarnih sedimenata).

AB  - In this paper the near surface and tropospheric temperature trends are compared on the territory of Vojvodina were inves­tigated, on the basis of four sets of data from ground-based and satellite observation, for the period 1979-2005. The trend analysis has shown that there is no amplification of trend of air temperature increase with altitude. On the basis of our calcu­lations, we obtained the results that the air temperature increase in Vojvodina, approximately 1.5 times higher in the near-sur­face layer, compared to lower and middle layers of troposphere. This shows flat or decreasing amplification with altitude, in contrary to some models.

AB  - U radu je vršena uporedna analiza promene temperature vazduha na teritoriji Srbije, na osnovu setova podataka prizemnih i satelitskih osmatranja, u periodu od 1979. do 2006. godine. Analiza trenda je pokazala da nema amplifikacije trenda porasta temperature sa visinom. Nameće se zaključak da se porast temperature vazduha na istraživanom prostoru kao i na planeti u celini ne može isključivo objasniti modelima dominacije antropogenog efekta staklene bašte.

AB  - In this paper land erosion has been investigated from its temporal and spatial variability point of view. The aim of the application of contemporary soft wares and satellite observations was to create an adequate data base which allows faster and more adequate possibility for monitoring the intensity of erosive processes, as well as meaningful decision for application of different ways of anti erosive techniques of the most dangerous areas. Geomorphologic mapping of erosive processes using plane and satellite images has allowed rational planning of field observations and, at the other side very detailed establishing of the intensity of previous erosion. A new approach applied in this paper during data processing of all relevant parameters influencing erosion is based on using of software Geomedia 5.2 (Intergraph).
AB  - Rad tretira proces erozije zemljišta sa stanovišta njegove prostorno-vremenske varijabilnosti. Primena savremenih programskih paketa i satelitskih osmatranja ima za cilj formiranje adekvatne baze podataka, koja omogućava bržu i adekvatniju mogućnost praćenja stanja i intenziteta erozivnih procesa, a samim tim i svrsishodniju odluku o primeni različitih vidova anterozivnih mera zaštite najugroženijih prostora. Geomorfološko kartiranje erozivnih procesa putem avionskih i satelitskih snimaka omogućilo je, s jedne strane, racionalno planiranje terenskih opseravcija, a sa druge strane veoma detaljno utvrđivanje intenziteta erozije u prošlosti. Novi pristup primenjen u ovom radu prilikom obrade svih relevantnih parametara koji utiču na proces erozije, zasniva se na korišćenju programskog paketa Geomedia 5.2 (Intergraf).

AB  - This paper's aim is survey of the most recent results on the stratospheric ozone condition on Earth and under Serbian territory, identification of possible causes of its dynamics, as well as projection of condition of stratospheric layer in the future. The decrease of emissions and concentrations of substances that cause ozone depletion is concluded, ozone layer is not in the state of further decomposition while the role of natural factors in its dynamics is much obvious and more significant than previously considered. During period 1979-2005 the decrease of ozone concentration was noticed under Serbian territory cumulatively for 24.5 DU (7.2%). However, by method of flexible trend it was established that process of ozone layer covering dominated from pentad 1992-1996. Inter-annual variations of stratospheric ozone concentration under Serbia have still been in the function of natural causes such as solar and volcanic activities. Key words: ozone layer, ozone holes, Serbia, CFC, natural factors.
AB  - Cilj rada je pregled najnovijih rezultata stanja stratosferskog ozona na Zemlji i Srbiji, utvrđivanje mogućih uzroka njegove dinamike, kao i projekcije stanja stratosferskog ozona u budućnosti. Konstatovano je da emisije i koncentracije supstanci koje oštećuju ozonski omotač opadaju, ozonski omotač se dalje ne razgrađuje, a uloga prirodnih faktora u njegovoj dinamici je jasnija i značajnija nego što se ranije smatralo. U periodu 1979-2005, došlo je do pada koncentracije ozona nad teritorijom Srbije kumulativno za 24,5 DU (7,2%). Međutim, metodom fleksibilnog trenda utvrđeno je da od pentade 1992-1996. dominira proces oporavka ozonskog omotača. Međugodišnje varijacije koncentracije stratosferskog ozona nad Srbijom i dalje su u funkciji prirodnih faktora, kao što su Sunčeva i vulkanska aktivnost.

Dynamics of ozone layer under Serbia and solar activity: Previous statement

AB  - The aim of this paper is to identify ozone layer dynamics under Serbian area, as well as possible relations of change in stratospheric ozone concentration with some parameters of solar activity. During the period 1979-2005, the statistical decrease of ozone concentration was noticed under Serbian territory cumulatively for 24.5 DU (7.2%), apropos 9.4 DU (2.8%) by decade. These changes are consistent with the changes in surrounding countries. From absolute minimum 1993, flexible trend of ozone layer pentad values validate hypotheses of its recovery. Correspondence of ozone thickness extreme period with Wolf's number and with the greatest volcanic eruptions shows that interannual variations of stratospheric ozone concentration are still in the function of natural factors above all, as are solar and volcanic activities. Investigation of larger number solar activity parameters shows statistically important anti phase synchronous between the number of polar faculae on the Sun and stratospheric ozone dynamics under Serbia. Respecting that relation between these two features until now isn't depicted, some possible causal mechanisms are proposed.
AB  - Cilj rada je utvrđivanje dinamike ozonskog omotača nad Srbijom, kao i moguće veze promena koncentracije stratosferskog ozona sa pojedinim parametrima Sunčeve aktivnosti. U periodu 1979-2005, došlo je do statistički značajnog pada koncentracije ozona nad teritorijom Srbije kumulativno za 24,5 DU (7,2%), odnosno 9,4 DU (2,8%) po dekadi. Te promene su u skladu sa promenama u susednim zemljama.Od apsolutnog minimuma 1993., fleksibilni trend pentadnih vrednosti ozonskog omotača opravdava hipotezu o njegovom oporavku. Podudaranje ekstremnih perioda debljine ozona sa Volfovim brojem i najvećim vulkanskim erupcijama ukazuje na to da su međugodišnje varijacije koncentracije stratosferskog ozona i dalje u funkciji pre svega prirodnih faktora, kao što su Sunčeva i vulkanska aktivnost. Ispitivanjem većeg broja pokazatelja Sunčeve aktivnosti, uočena je statistički značajna sinhrona antifaznost između broja polarnih fakula na Suncu i dinamike stratosferskog ozona nad Srbijom. S obzirom da veza između ove dve pojave do sada nije opisana, predloženi su mogući uzročni mehanizmi.

abstract = "The aim of this paper is to identify ozone layer dynamics under Serbian area, as well as possible relations of change in stratospheric ozone concentration with some parameters of solar activity. During the period 1979-2005, the statistical decrease of ozone concentration was noticed under Serbian territory cumulatively for 24.5 DU (7.2%), apropos 9.4 DU (2.8%) by decade. These changes are consistent with the changes in surrounding countries. From absolute minimum 1993, flexible trend of ozone layer pentad values validate hypotheses of its recovery. Correspondence of ozone thickness extreme period with Wolf's number and with the greatest volcanic eruptions shows that interannual variations of stratospheric ozone concentration are still in the function of natural factors above all, as are solar and volcanic activities. Investigation of larger number solar activity parameters shows statistically important anti phase synchronous between the number of polar faculae on the Sun and stratospheric ozone dynamics under Serbia. Respecting that relation between these two features until now isn't depicted, some possible causal mechanisms are proposed., Cilj rada je utvrđivanje dinamike ozonskog omotača nad Srbijom, kao i moguće veze promena koncentracije stratosferskog ozona sa pojedinim parametrima Sunčeve aktivnosti. U periodu 1979-2005, došlo je do statistički značajnog pada koncentracije ozona nad teritorijom Srbije kumulativno za 24,5 DU (7,2%), odnosno 9,4 DU (2,8%) po dekadi. Te promene su u skladu sa promenama u susednim zemljama.Od apsolutnog minimuma 1993., fleksibilni trend pentadnih vrednosti ozonskog omotača opravdava hipotezu o njegovom oporavku. Podudaranje ekstremnih perioda debljine ozona sa Volfovim brojem i najvećim vulkanskim erupcijama ukazuje na to da su međugodišnje varijacije koncentracije stratosferskog ozona i dalje u funkciji pre svega prirodnih faktora, kao što su Sunčeva i vulkanska aktivnost. Ispitivanjem većeg broja pokazatelja Sunčeve aktivnosti, uočena je statistički značajna sinhrona antifaznost između broja polarnih fakula na Suncu i dinamike stratosferskog ozona nad Srbijom. S obzirom da veza između ove dve pojave do sada nije opisana, predloženi su mogući uzročni mehanizmi.",

AB  - Relations between discharge changes and solar activity are very complex and this is the reason why the obtained results are often contradictory. In this paper we tray to explore possible relation between Danube river discharge elements and parameters of solar activity. The best result has been found between flow index and latitude of sunspots. According to literature we propose possible mechanism of solar activity influence on the discharge.
AB  - Veze između promena proticaja i sunčeve aktivnosti veoma su složene, zbog čega su dobijeni rezultati često protivrečni. U radu smo pokušali da ispitamo moguću vezu između elemenata proticaja Dunava i parametara sunčeve aktivnosti. Najbolji rezultat dobijen je za vezu između indeksa vodnosti i asimetrije heliografske širine sunčevih pega. Na osnovu literature predložen je mogući mehanizam uticaja sunčeve aktivnosti na proticaj.

Digital elevation model and satellite images an assessment of soil erosion potential in the Pcinja catchment

AB  - Pcinja is large left tributary of Vardar River (135 km long, 2877,3 km2 catchment’s area), which drainages surface waters from northeastern Macedonia, and small part of southeastern Serbia. Because of suitable physical-geographic factors (geology, terrain morphology, climate, hydrology, vegetation coverage, soil composition, and high human impact), some parts of the catchment’s suffer significant erosion process. For this reason, it is necessary to research properly spatial distribution of erosion, then influence of physical and anthropogenic factors for the intensity of soil erosion, related erosion landforms (with morphology, genesis, evolution, soil erosion protection etc.). Earlier researches in the area have been performed generally with combination of cartographic and classic field analysis. But in last decades, there are new possibilities available like satellite images and digital elevation models. In this work has been presented the methodology of utilization of satellite images and DEM for erosion research, with analysis and comparisons of outcome data.
AB  - Pčinja je velika leva pritoka Vardara (135 km dužine i 2877,3 km2 površine sliva) i drenira površinske vode severoistočnog dela Makedonije i malog dela jugoistočne Srbije. Zbog raznovrsnih fizičko-geografskih faktora (geologije, morfologije terena, klime, hidrografije, vegetacionog pokrivača, sastava zemljišta i izraženih antropogenih uticaja) pojedini delovi sliva su ugroženi značajnim erozivnim procesima. Iz tog razloga, neophodno je istražiti prostorni raspored erozije zemljišta, uticaj prirodnih i antropogenih faktora na njen intenzitet, pripadajuće erozivne oblike (sa morfologijom, genezom, evolucijom, protiverozivnim merama, itd). Prethodna istraživanja na ovom prostoru predstavljala su kombinaciju kartografskih i klasičnih terenskih istraživanja. U poslednjoj dekadi, ostvarene su nove mogućnosti upotrebe satelitskih snimaka i DEM-a. U ovom radu, prikazana je metodologija korišćenja satelitskih snimaka i DEM-a u istraživanjima erozije, sa analizom i komparacijom dobijenih rezultata.

AB  - The paper analyzes dependence of spatial-demographic tendencies in the development of 86 settlements of Knjaževac community on their hypsometric distribution. It deals with absolute and relative changes of total amount of population, agricultural population, as well as the populational size of settlements. The whole municipality is characterized with the concentration of the population in the lower hypsometric zones, settlements becoming smaller and, with the exception of the town centre, negative demographic developmental tendencies. Statistical analysis done on a period between 1971-2002 shows the dependence of majority of analyzed indexes on their altitude zone.
AB  - Rad se bavi ispitivanjem zavisnosti prostorno-demografskih razvojnih tendencija 86 naselja opštine Knjaževac od njihovog hipsometrijskog rasporeda. Biće analizirane apsolutne i relativne promene ukupnog i poljoprivrednog broja stanovnika, kao i populacione veličine naselja. Opštinu karakteriše koncentracija stanovništva u nižim visinskim zonama, usitnjavanje naselja i, sa izuzetkom gradskog središta, negativne demografske razvojne tendencije. Statistička analiza izvedena na periodu 1971-2002. pokazuje zavisnost većine posmatranih demografskih pokazatelja od visinske zone kojoj pripadaju.

AB  - In this work are analyzed changes of total number of population and agricultural population in community Boljevac, using statistical data of registers from 1948 to 2002. In tabulars are references of registers from 1961 to 2002. The changes in total number of population are represented with absolute amounts, index of growth (degradation), number and dimension of settlements according to number of population, hypsometric disposition of settlements and population in community Boljevac. The changes in number of agricultural population are analyzed with participation of agricultural population and total number of population and relation between agricultural population and active agricultural population. It is noticabled negative demographic trends, qualified with decrease of natural accession and emigrations. Depopulation, by the register 2002, characterizes all the settlements in community Boljevac. Importance which community centre had decrease, qualifying negative results and impossibility of population restitution.
AB  - U radu su analizirane promene broja ukupnog i poljoprivrednog stanovništva opštine Boljevac, korišćenjem statističkih podataka popisa od 1948. do 2002. godine. U tabelama su podaci popisa od 1961. do 2002. godine. Promene u ukupnom broju stanovnika prikazane su pomoću apsolutnih vrednosti, indeksa porasta (pada), broju i veličini naselja prema broju stanovnika, hipsometrijskom razmeštaju naselja i stanovnika opštine Boljevac. Promene u broju poljoprivrednog stanovništva analizirane su učešćem poljoprivrednog u ukupnom stanovništvu i odnosom poljoprivrednog i aktivnog poljoprivrednog stanovništva. Uočljive su negativne demografske tendencije, uslovljene smanjenjem prirodnog priraštaja i emigracijama. Depopulacija, po popisu 2002. godine karakteriše sva naselja opštine Boljevac. Značaj koji je opštinsko središte imalo opada, uslovljavajući negativne posledice i nemogućnost obnavljanja stanovništva.

Natural potentials for development of tourism of spa resort Gornja Trepča

AB  - This paper analyzes climate, relief and vegetation, as natural potentials for development of tourism in spa resort Gornja Trepča. Thermo-mineral springs are primary natural values of spa resort Gornja Trepča. These values serve as natural factors of spa medical treatments, rehabilitation and recreation. Climate has less importance for development of tourism in Gornja Trepča. The following were analyzed: air temperature, cloudiness, air pressure and precipitation. Contribution to tourist value directly and indirectly brings mountain Vujan. Through the realization of the special urbanization plan conditions for development and protection of Gornja Trepča environment can be regulated.
AB  - U radu su analizirani klima, reljef i vegetacija, kao prirodni potencijali za razvoj turizma u banji Gornja Trepča. Termomineralni izvori su primarne prirodne vrednosti banje Gornja Trepča. Ove vrednosti služe kao prirodni faktori banjskog lečenja, rehabilitacije i rekreacije. Manji značaj za razvoj turizma u Gornjoj Trepči ima klima. Analizirani su temperatura vazduha oblačnost, vazdušni pritisak i padavine. Turističkoj vrednosti direktno i indirektno doprinosi planina Vujan. Realizacijom Posebnog urbanističkog plana mogu se regulisati uslovi razvoja i zaštita ambijenta Gornje Trepče.

abstract = "This paper analyzes climate, relief and vegetation, as natural potentials for development of tourism in spa resort Gornja Trepča. Thermo-mineral springs are primary natural values of spa resort Gornja Trepča. These values serve as natural factors of spa medical treatments, rehabilitation and recreation. Climate has less importance for development of tourism in Gornja Trepča. The following were analyzed: air temperature, cloudiness, air pressure and precipitation. Contribution to tourist value directly and indirectly brings mountain Vujan. Through the realization of the special urbanization plan conditions for development and protection of Gornja Trepča environment can be regulated., U radu su analizirani klima, reljef i vegetacija, kao prirodni potencijali za razvoj turizma u banji Gornja Trepča. Termomineralni izvori su primarne prirodne vrednosti banje Gornja Trepča. Ove vrednosti služe kao prirodni faktori banjskog lečenja, rehabilitacije i rekreacije.
