AB - Climate change is one of the largest environmental issues causing hydroclimatological extremes such as floods, droughts, and aridity. The aim of this study is to assess the observed and projected climate changes in Bačka (Serbia). Detailed trend analyses and possible climate scenarios over Bačka has not been presented up to now. In this paper, four data sets were extracted and calculated: mean annual air temperature, mean air temperatures during the vegetation period, mean annual precipitation and total precipitation during the vegetation period. The presented parameters were obtained from the annual meteorological reports of the Republic Hydrometeorological Service of Serbia. Trend equation based on linear regression, trend magnitude according to the trend equation, and Mann-Kendall statistics have been used for trend analysis of climatic parameters. A GIS modeling of the possible climate scenario was created according to the Beijing Climate Center Climate System Model (BCC-CSM2-MR). Based on the trend equations, positive trends related to air temperature and precipitation variables are dominant. The trend magnitude shows the largest mean increase in all time series related to air temperature during the vegetation period. The highest mean precipitation increase occurs only in two time series. The Mann-Kendall statistics showed significantly positive trends in 11 cases and no changes in 9 cases. According to BCC-CSM2-MR, changes will be especially dominant in case of air temperatures. The expected changes in the total precipitation during the vegetation period show a tendency towards semiarid conditions. The presented results of observed and projected climate changes demand adaptation measures, especially from the aspect of sustainable agriculture.

AB - This paper points out the possibilities of better exploitation of marine traffic as well as its connection with other kinds of traffic. Special attention is given to the analysis of 1,081 harbors about their availability during the year. The methods and algorithms used in GIS are buffers, cluster, method of interpolations, and network analysis. The methods used for the purpose of conducting numerical analyses are algorithms that served for the analysis of the network, its transport features, and the connectivity with harbors in terms of geospace. The main results found in this research showed that harbors have good connectivity in the first place with road traffic and after that with air and railroad traffic. According to data from 2019, all traffic lines cover 4.1 × 1015 km, and the road traffic has the most significant potential in connection with the harbors. The most connected harbors and airports are in the east coast of North America, west coast, north Europe, southern Europe, south-east Australia, a central part of Oceania, and south-east Africa. The results in the modified Likert scale between airports and harbors showed medium results. The densest road network is located in the eastern part of USA, western and central part of Europe, and east coast of China. The number of possible connected lines between main road nodes and harbors is 0.8 × 109. This type of traffic showed excellent results and connection with harbors. The number of possible connected lines per month between railroads and harbors is 1.3 × 103. This type of traffic showed low connectivity with the harbors. In the end comparison of harbors with air, road and railroad networks were established. The geographical position of harbors was analyzed, and better understanding was performed on a global scale.

AB - In this paper, we are explaining a decade long investigation of historical, sacral and archaeological sites in the Toplica District (Serbia) as one of the significant cultural heritage sites in Europe with more than 226 objects with different time of origin. The survey was carried out for the purpose of better recognizing the archaeological potential. In science like archaeology, static objects, if not dynamized, remain unrecognizable to the general public, regardless of their historical and archaeological importance. Historical changes during the period of more than 7,000 years, with many sites of cultural heritage in this district, were recognized. Ordinary kriging was employed through Quantum Geographical Information System (QGIS) and System for Automated Geoscientific Analysis (SAGA). The positions of historical objects are registered, from the Neolithic period to modern times. With the help of GIS and geo-statistical methods, archaeological and historical layers can be rediscovered and better recognized. GIS algorithm ordinary kriging was used to complete the cultural heritage potential and archaeological valorization of the objects with geo-spatial dispersion. As a final product, we have obtained maps with historical and archaeological locations. For the first time, we used a scientific name for contour lines (archlines) with an equal number of archaeological units per density. In the end, archaeological and historical objects and their features were shown with the support of geographical and GIS methods.

AB - Since patient comfort during transport is a matter of paramount importance, this paper aims to determine the possibilities of applying neural networks for its prediction and monitoring. Specific objectives of the research include monitoring and predicting patient transport comfort, with subjective assessment of comfort by medical personnel. An original Android application that collects signals from an accelerometer and a GPS sensor was used with the aim of achieving the research goals. The collected signals were processed and a total of twelve parameters were calculated. A multilayer perceptron was created in the proposed research. The evaluation results indicate acceptable accuracy and give the possibility to apply the same model to the next patient transport. The root mean square error was 0.0215 and the overall confusion matrix prediction accuracy was 90.07%. Moreover, the results were validated in real usage. The limitations and future work are highlighted.

AB - The town of Obrenovac is situated near the banks of three rivers, the Sava River, the Kolubara River and the Tamnava River. It looks like a modern town, though it has often developed in an unplanned manner. This causes huge problems as it thrives in a rough terrain, without a plan, which the communal infrastructure cannot follow. Today's needs in terms of spatial planning, envisaging projects and keeping track of a different kind of information on space demand that new technologies be applied since they make it possible for procuring efficient and reliable information as well as connecting and interconnecting various sorts of data. Also with advanced numerical GIS data and relief analysis we were successfully calculated consequence of the last big flood in 2014.

AB - There are, in Serbia, 240 geo-thermal areas, of which 60 host commercial spas. Most are found in the southern edge of the Pannonian Basin in the west and south-east of the country. Of these, the highest and one of the more potentially important spas is the Lukovska Spa, the subject of this paper. The study uses spatial modelling based on indices of attractiveness of geographical and touristic attributes to determine the attractiveness of Lukovska as a spa destination, and to indicate ways in which it might be managed.

AB - Reunion (French.: La Reunion, formerly: Ile Bourbon) is beside the Mauritius the largest and the youngest island on the Mascarene Plateau in the Indian Ocean. The island is of volcanic origin, formed through volcanic activity initiated by deeply settled "hot spot" inside the Earth's mantle. It was formed within the last 2,000,000 years from lava effusions whose volume is up to now nearly 75,000 km(3). Only 3% of its volume is emergent and the total height from the sea floor is 6,500 m. The island is about 40 km in width with about 800,000 inhabitants. The capital city is St Denis. The nature of the island is impressive: active volcano, mountains above 3,000 m in height and deep canyon, frequently exceeding 2,000 m in depth. Since 2010, about 40% of its area is announced a National park and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

AB - Corine Satellite Detection in combination with GIS may analyse and show the quantitive and qualitive features of a forest belt. As a result, it gives 100 m resolution satellite recordings and may even show horizontal forest dispersness. In order to avoid exceptions and recording overlapping with digitalization, what is considered is a 100 m resolution, an identical projection file called WGS 84, so that the Corine recording projection may be harmonised. This detection defines 44 types of earth layers, while a forest earth layer is defined by 12 types of soil. Concerning the specific nature of the territory observed, 5 types of soil are considered. What is observed in the soil structure are features of a territorial span with 3 types of forests, mixed forests, broad-leaved forests and coniferous forests, including two soil types containing sparsely vegetated areas or natural grasslands.

AB - The Devil's City is a unique geomorphological site well known regarding strangely sculptured stony pillars or soil (clayey) pyramids, abandoned mines and two rare hydrologic occurrences. The present landscape is partly inherited from the paleo-volcanic topography and shaped afterwards by erosion, particularly linear erosion. Soil pyramids owe their origin to the differential erosion of a more compact andesitic level on less cohesive pyroclastic material and disintegrate relatively quickly when they lose their protective "cap". The pyramids are located along the two gullies, Devil's and Hell's. In the latter, also known as "The young Devil's City" the erosion process is in the beginning. The results of combined petrological and geomorphological studies permitted us to reconstruct past geological processes and predict the future evolution of the Devil's City. Geographic information system (GIS) and digital topographic modeling are becoming powerful tools not only in geographic sciences but also in geomorphological and geological modeling.

AB - The monitoring of the territory of Prokuplje Municipality was done based on 1 : 25,000 topographic maps in three different time periods (1969, 1974, and 1984) and land cover map in 2012. Analogous topographic maps done in 1969, 1974, and 1984 were used, while in 2012 the land cover map obtained by using CORINE-like approach was used. Topographic maps are developed by aerial campaign, and today they are replaced by satellite images. Topographic maps were scanned, and raster form was transformed to vector data with Geo Media Professional 6.1 and Global Mapper software. The monitoring in the period of 1969-2012, on the area of 758300000 m(2), was performed, where some parameters were analyzed. In particular, the changes of natural resources, primarily forest lands, were observed as well as the type of land susceptible to primary erosion, including the level of urbanization and level of agricultural land. The obtained results clearly showed changes in forestation within the 43-year-long period, as well as changes in primary erosion and urbanization, while at the level of agricultural land, slight changes were found. The paper also involved transition of social factors from 1969 to 2012, expressed as a change between the earth and forest layer.

AB - The work displays the presumed laws of flooding waves which would occur if the 1976 situation when the great floods in Kosovo happened reoccurred again. On a 1:300000 multilayer map of Kosovo and Metohia, there are areas which would have been flooded in case of a maximum flooding wave, and what is also shown is the areas which were covered in water as the average was measured, including the areas used as projects of minimal flooding wave value. There is a layer showing the points with regular flood defense, including the places where protection needs to establish. The map includes the ratio of 1:300000, whilst the areas are calculated with the help of processing their dynamic static's, as well as using the formulae Gumbel Distribution and Weibull Formula. The data have been calculated with their maximum value, including the average and the minimum of flooding period embracing the time of 40 years.

AB - Modern geo morphological topography research have been using quantity statistic and cartographic methods for topographic relief features, mutual relief features, mutual connection analyses on the grounds of good quality numeric parameters etc. Topographic features are important for topographic activities are important for important natural activities. Important morphological characteristics are precisely at the angle of topography, hypsometry, and topography exposition and so on. Small yet unknown relief slants can deeply affect land configuration, hypsometry, topographic exposition etc. Expositions modify the light and heat of interconnected phenomena: soil and air temperature, soil disintegration, the length of vegetation period, the complexity of photosynthesis, the fruitfulness of agricultural crops, the height of snow limit etc.
Ekspozicije modifikuju uticaj svetlosti i toplote na niz uzajamno povezanih pojava: temperatura tla i vazduha, raspadanje stena, dužinu vegetacionog perioda, sastav fitocenoze, plodored poljoprivrednih kultura, prinose poljoprivrednih kultura, visinu snežne granice itd.
