Edukativna uloga geografskih ekskurzija u zaštićenim područjima

AB  - Edukativna uloga geografskih ekskurzija u zaštićenim područjima sastoji se u  formiranju vrednosnih stavova i ekološkog ponašanja učenika kroz upoznavanje sa pojmovima  iz ekologije i neposredne životne sredine koji obogaćuju njihov rečnik. Geografske ekskurzije  imaju posebne didaktičko-metodičke specifičnosti jer omogućavaju učenicima direktan  kontakt sa prirodom u kojoj samostalno mogu da uoče ekološke probleme i razviju svest o  životnoj sredini. To podrazumeva sticanje funkcionalnih znanja, razvijanje veština i navika,  kao i formiranje stavova o ekološkim osobenostima i zakonima u životnoj sredini. Glavni  cilj geografskih ekskurzija sastoji se u formiranju odnosa svakog učenika prema sredini  koja ga okružuje. Kako bi se razvila ekološka svest kod učenika, potrebno je adekvatno  planirati i istaći vrednost geografskih ekskurzija u zaštićenim područjima. Svaki odlazak  u prirodu najčešće je za učenike doživljaj, ali doživljaj u kome će učenici učiti kako da  prepoznaju vrstu ptice, imenuju cveće, lekovito bilje, drveće, uoče zagađenje, sagledaju  posledice, predlože moguća rešenja i navedu konkretne akcije koje bi dovele do očuvanja i  unapređivanja životne sredine.

экономического развития некоторых частей территории Сербии является одной из самых сложных проблем развития. Сербия столкнулась с десятилетиями региональных различий, которые в основном связаны с сильной депопуляцией, неблагоприятной демографической структурой, экономической отсталостью слаборазвитых районов и низкой степенью
инфраструктуры. Определение степени экономического и географического развития региона, субрегиона, района или муниципалитета требует параллельного мониторинга нескольких взаимных показателей. Некоторыми факторами экономического и географического развития региона являются валовой внутренний продукт, демографические изменения, урбанизация, влияние современных переходов и другое.
AB  - Regional disparity of economic development of certain Serbian regions represents one of the most complicated development problems. Serbia has for decades been facing regional inequalities, mainly related to strong depopulation, adverse demographic structure, economic backwardness of its underdeveloped regions, and poor infrastructure. In order to identify the level of economic and geographical development of a region, it is required to monitor simultaneously several mutual indices. The gross domestic product, demographic changes, urbanisation, impact of contemporary transitions, etc. can be viewed as factors of a region’s economic and geographic development

The importance of the project teaching for acquirement of geographical functional knowledge

AB  - Project teaching includes teaching activities of students on a research project in a defined period of time and
requires certain resources and organization. Students allows to acquire functional geographical knowledge
through independent research that involves consideration of certain problems through a critical aspect. Students
during the project acquire cognitive and social skills. In the project teaching connects known and unknown,
knowledge is acquired through examples (exemplary learning) as well as a combination of convergent (logic)
and a divergent (creative) opinion. By applying project teaching, the teacher has multiple roles and he is the
organizer, planner, associate, coordinator and evaluator. Successful planning, implementation and evaluation
of a project implies that a teacher should be trained in new ways of working, using modern teaching methods
in order to develop student’s creativity and encourage teamwork. By selecting a problem-type project, the
teacher is provided with the possibility of creating various methodical scenarios that achieve new quality of
teaching and a greater degree of motivation among the students. The teacher and students create an interactive,
collaborative and constructive relationship where students independently acquire knowledge based on previous
experience and their own possibilities. The aim is to put students on self-thinking, developing skills, forming
value attitudes and acquire functional knowledge that in this way becomes more permanent and applicable

AB  - Informalno obrazovanje je doživotni proces kojim se stiču znanja, razvijaju veštine i formiraju stavovi. U društvu visoke tehnologije i masovne kulture, informalno obrazovanje se realizuje u društvenim institucijama, ali i u ustanovama javnog informisanja i kulture. Informalna okruženja kao što su muzeji pružaju značajne potencijale za učenje, ali se uslovi razlikuju od onih u formalnim obrazovno-vaspitnim institucijama. Naglasak je na procesu učenja koje je samousmereno, dobrovoljno i personalno, a ishodi nisu unapred definisani. Muzeji su mesta gde ljudi pronalaze, istražuju i testiraju svoje ideje. Ključni elementi učenja u muzeju obuhvataju stvaranje veza između poznatog i nepoznatog i sticanje autentičnog iskustva kroz posmatranje izložbenih predmeta. To su mesta gde ljudi svih uzrasta mogu da uče vlastitim tempom, a učenje se odlikuje željom za otkrivanjem, slobodnim istraživanjem i deljenjem iskustava sa porodicom, prijateljima, vršnjacima i drugim posetiocima. Ovakva okruženja predstavljaju mesta intergeneracijskog učenja, omogućavaju učenje putem otkrića i socijalnu saradnju. Uloga muzeja kao kulturnog dobra za razvoj informalnog obrazovanja je značajna jer je učenje u najširem smislu rezultat interakcije koja se odvija u slobodnom vremenu između posetioca i muzejske sredine.

Pilot projekti u Srbiji kao modeli razvoja edukativnog turizma

AB  - Edukativni turizam je specifičan oblik turizma koji kroz nastavu i učenje utiče na podizanje obrazovnog nivoa stanovništva. U Republici Srbiji se 2011. godina označava kao početak razvoja edukativnog turizma. Raspoloživi resursi određenog prostora značajno doprinose izboru modela edukativnog turizma. Od zastupljenosti nacionalnog parka, kulturno-istorijskog spomenika, retke biljne vrste, pešačke staze, blizine reke, jezera ili planine u lokalnoj sredini, zavisi da li će se primeniti model obrazovne farme, centra otkrića, centra za zabavu i obrazovanje ili tematskog centra. Svaki model omogućava učenje u skladu sa Nastavnim planom i programom, ali i šire sadržaje koji se ne nalaze u školskim programima. Nastavnici na ovaj način mogu da razviju edukativne programe koji učenicima omogućavaju sticanje i primenjivanje znanja kroz projektnu nastavu uz konkretne i očigledne primere. Kroz dobro osmišljene edukativne programe i aktivno angažovanje u realizaciji radionica van školskih objekata na konkretnim primerima učenici povezuju teoriju i praksu. Dobro osmišljenoj radionici sa konkretnim ciljevima, zadacima i aktivnostima, doprinosi i prostor u kome se radionica realizuje. Veliku ulogu u ovim projektima imaju seoske škole, čiji neiskorišćeni kapaciteti mogu da se koriste kao edukativni centri ili centri otkrića. Imajući u vidu postojanje međunarodnih i nacionalnih programa u oblasti obrazovanja i turizma, u radu se ukazuje na značaj pilot projekata u Srbiji kao modela razvoja edukativnog turizma.

AB  - Potencijali digitalnih kartografskih publikacija, posebno interaktivnih, imaju veliki
značaj za prostorno planiranje. Kvalitetne i pouzdane geoinformacije jedan su od preduslova
za efikasno planiranje i uređenje prostora. Karta kao osnovni izvor geoinformacija neophodna
je pri izučavanju geoprostora. Primenom savremenih informaciono-komunikacionih
tehnologija kartografski prostor se sve više širi i postaje krajnje pragmatičan pri modelovanju
u toku reprodukcijskih, transformacijskih i publikacijskih postupaka. Informacioni kapacitet
digitalnog kartografskog prostora znatno je povećan interaktivnošću, animacijom i
uključivanjem multimedijalnih sekvenci za prikaz kompleksnosti sadržaja geoprostora.
Korisnik može pristupiti informacijama koje primarno nisu kartografski prikazane, ali su
sadržane u bazi podataka i na zadati upit može ih aktivirati i vizuelizovati prema potrebi.
Orijentisanost prema korisnicima je osnovna svrha izrade karata.
Kartografska pravila modelovanja (generalizacija, vizuelizacija i semantička harmonizacija)
potrebno je ispoštovati, kako bi se korisniku kartografska informacija prenela sadržajno tačno
i estetski zasnovano. Kartografske publikacije treba da omoguće efikasan pristup podacima
i operacijama sa podacima. Od stepena generalizacije zavisi koliko će informacija korisnik
karte dobiti o određenom području, tj. zavisi tačnost korišćenja i razumevanja sadržaja
karte. Generalizacija karte, kao aktivnost u širem kontekstu, može se definisati kao posebna
varijanta prostornog modelovanja. Generalizacija geoinformacija obuhvata: 1- generalizaciju
modela - generalizaciju baze podataka (dobijanje potrebne redukovane baze podataka iz
izvorne) i 2- kartografsku generalizaciju (proces dobijanja grafičkog proizvoda vizuelizacijom
iz baze podataka ili izvornih karata). Neophodno je pri kartografskoj generalizaciji očuvati
topografska i tematska svojstva podataka za potrebe prostorne analize.
Kompleksnost problematike planiranja i uređenja prostora zahteva obradu i prezentaciju
velike količine informacija. Savremene metode geovizuelizacije treba da omoguće
fleksibilnost aplikacija koje uključuju multidimenzionalne i multivarijantne prezentacije.
Kartografska produkcija usmerena je na upravljanje geopodacima u procesu istraživanja,
planiranja i donošenja odluka u okviru definisane oblasti prostorne problematike, kao
i na način distribucije i pristup geoprostornim podacima profesionalnom i širem krugu
zainteresovanih korisnika.

AB  - Поред научног рада у антропогеографским истраживањима Херцеговине, Јевто Дедијер је имао значајну улогу у културној и јавној делатности. Она се, између осталог, манифестовала кроз његов просветитељски рад. Организовањем трибина и предавања окупљао је школоване људе и просветне раднике тог времена и указивао на значај образовања у подизању културне и националне свести. У раду ће бити презентоване активности Јевта Дедијера које је имао у часописима Српска школа, Народ, Преглед, Српска реч, као и у оквиру Географског завода и Српског географског друштва. Нарочито ће бити анализиран његов наставно-педагошки рад на Универзитету у Београду где је као доцент предавао географију.

Extreme Precipitation Events in Serbia: Defining the Threshold Criteria for Emergency Preparedness

AB  - Considering recent weather events in Serbia (especially the floods in 2014), a need has arisen for research that would help in identifying extreme weather phenomena. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to determine the thresholds above which intense precipitation can be considered as extreme precipitation events in Serbia. In this study, we determined the frequency of precipitation occurring at an intensity above the threshold of an extreme phenomenon (1961-2015), as well as the frequency of precipitation occurring at or above the absolute daily maximum in the reference period (1961-1990). The study sample included daily rainfall observations from 28 stations from the national meteorological network in Serbia. Applying a decile method, all the stations recording precipitation above the threshold of dangerous phenomena on the same day are classified into the corresponding decile. The threshold value was determined as the average value of the extreme annual precipitation in the analyzed period. The cases that are due to the high prevalence listed in the last decile are considered extreme. The results showed that the critical number of observation points above which an event is considered extreme precipitation event is 6.21, and a warning of the danger could be ensured only in the case of neighboring stations in the network. The threshold of extreme precipitation events for the individual stations ranges up to 130 mm. The obtained results might be used to mitigate the effects of extreme precipitation events in Serbia in the future.

AB  - Interpreting the extensive and varied bibliography of Jovan Cvijić, largely in foreign languages, which apart from the text includes geographic and ethnographic map of the Balkan Peninsula, atlases, notes and drawings, it is concluded that his scientific work was versatile and complex. Cvijić's perception of space, the use of didactic principles, methods and forms of work can be categorized as actual and modern even in the present time. He was the first among the Balkan geographers who simultaneously interpreted natural, historical, sociological, ethnographic and ethno-psychological phenomena and processes. Cvijić pointed to the relationship between the geographic environment and human communities, civilizations and historical events, constantly examining their mutual conditionality. Numerous research trips in almost all regions of the Balkan Peninsula led to his interest in the culture and customs of the people. He noted that in the Balkans, there are different people by origin, religion and mentality. The result of the field research is certainly one of Cvijić's most important work - 'Anthropogeographical problems of the Balkan Peninsula'. His scientific approach has given an outstanding contribution to methodological development of geography.

AB  - U Srbiji su očigledne velike regionalne razlike koje se ispoljavaju u različitim
stepenima socijalne, ekonomske i privredne razvijenosti. Teritorijalno nedovoljno razvijeni
prostori su u istočnim, južnim i delimično zapadnim delovima Srbije. Zaštićena prirodna
dobra jugoistočne Srbije predstavljaju prostore očuvanog biodiverziteta koji sadrži potencijale socijalno-ekonomskog razvoja. Imajući u vidu prirodne resurse kojima raspolaže regija
jugoistočne Srbije evidentno je da se radi o nedovoljno prepoznatom potencijalu. Jedna od
mogućnosti poboljšanja stanja predstavlja ekoturizam koji se javlja kao alternativni pravac
razvoja nedovoljno razvijenih prostora. Rad ukazuje na aktivnosti u zaštićenim prirodnim
dobrima na prostoru jugoistočne Srbije koje je neophodno sprovesti u cilju razvoja ekoturizma, a u skladu sa konceptom održivog razvoja.

AB  - The interdisciplinary teaching-scientific disciplines and all participants in the educational process, the school becomes an environment in which, in addition to teaching and learning, fosters the harmonious development of personality of students with various aspects. Geography and ethnology ratio is determined by their position in the system of scientific disciplines and tasks that have in education. From ethnology as a science is the selection of content, according to educational and functional tasks of teaching geography in specific socio-historical context. In geography textbooks represented ethnological themes through the study of the origin, beliefs and customs of a nation or community. As such, characteristics of the different analyzed ethnology people, by studying the relations between them, and thus enrich the geography textbooks. Ethnological facilities are very suitable for the teaching process because they enable wide application forms and methods, as well as a wide selection of new information and communication educational technologies. The aim of this paper is based on defining similarities and differences between geography and ethnology, as well as related and in many ways related to science and unbreakable. The aim of the paper points to the scale of the ethnological contents in geography textbooks for Secondary school. The results show that in terms of geography and ethnology, there are some similarities, but also differences when it comes to the interpretation of certain phenomena, processes and principles. Based on the results, proposals are defined which are contributing to a more efficient study of ethnological content with the aim of more obvious, more permanent and more practical adoption of students' knowledge.

AB  - This research examined the redistribution of teaching staff in the Municipality of Nova Varoš in the last 25 years. The aim of this paper was to determine the number of teachers who were redistributed in the mentioned period and whether this was influenced by the closing of schools and the decrease in the number of schools. The results were obtained on the basis of data analysis from the Annual Work Plans of Schools in the Municipality of Nova Varoš and the Special Collective Agreements for employees in primary and secondary schools. The results of the research indicate that the optimization of the school network, based on the current state and demographic trends, will go towards the unification of small schools.

AB  - This study investigates whether and to which degree the knowledge of environmental protection issues influences the formation of personal environmental responsibility among primary school students in Serbia. A personal environmental responsibility scale and an environmental knowledge test were used to gather data in this study. The results of the study showed that based on the environmental knowledge of the students we can predict 18% of their environmental responsibility. The reason for lower prediction of personal environmental responsibility lies in the lack of conceptual and procedural environmental knowledge. In a broader sense, reasons for such a result can be found in the structure of the curriculum, teachers' training, as well as in the very organisation of curricular and extracurricular environmental activities regarding environmental education. The acquired results can help define educational and training guidelines in the areas of formal environmental education concerning the development of environmental knowledge and environmental responsibility among young people in Serbia.

AB  - We assessed the influence of environmental values on the proenvironmental behavior of youth in Serbia by assessing the level of their satisfaction with environmental conditions and their sense of personal environmental responsibility. Participants were 168 15-year-old boys and girls who were pupils in their final year at primary schools in Belgrade. We found that 9.5% of the variability in the students' proenvironmental behavior could be explained by individual differences regarding their environmental values, environmental satisfaction, and environmental responsibility. The results obtained from this study should provide curriculum developers, educators, and teachers with a deeper understanding of methods and strategies to use in order to raise environmental awareness and to encourage environmentally responsible behavior among young people in Serbia.

AB  - Rudnik Mountain, as the most dominant mountain in the Šumadija region, is located about 100 km south of Belgrade, which is connected to Ibar highway. Because of its exceptional climatic conditions, in 1922 it was declared an air spa, and the geologic-geomorphological features (mountain peaks more than 1000 m above sea level, lookouts, caves, etc.), as well as the wealth of water and preserved flora and fauna, contributed to its excursion potential. Archaeological findings testify to early habitation of the area. In ancient times the mountain was the scene of mining, and remnants of the period before and after the arrival of the Romans, the Serbian medieval state, and Turkish times are preserved. The preserved cultural heritage (monasteries: Blagoveštenje, Voljavča, Vraćevšnica, Nikolje and Petkovica; the residence of Prince Miloš, the remains of medieval towns; Ostrvica and Gradovi; archaeological site Misa; remains of mining pits and localities; rich monumental complex, etc.) had a significant role in the development of mountain tourism in Rudnik Mountain in Serbia. Regionally recognizable as a year-round holiday destination with great potential for excursion, recreation, sports, health, and other forms of tourism development, Mountain Rudnik has, thanks to the rich cultural heritage, a chance for popularization through various forms of trips, excursions, schools in nature, recreational classes, and other programs of travel agencies intended for children and adults.

AB  - This paper presents the results of the knowledge of students about sacral monuments research based on surveys conducted on students at the College of Tourism and the Faculty of Geography (study program Tourism) in Belgrade. The subjects of the research were: students’ interests in sacral monuments in Serbia, levels of information about them, curricula in which they studied about sacral monuments in Serbia, the influence of practice and travel on the knowledge of sacral monuments. Statistical analysis of the data using SPSS showed that students are interested in learning more about sacral monuments in Serbia, that curricula are predominantly focused on artistic values, while tourism and economic aspects of sacral monuments are relatively neglected. The results also revealed that sacral monuments of minority confessions are often neglected in the curricula. Students believe they can learn more about sacral monuments through travel and practice rather than through lectures.

The obtained results should indicate a change of qualification and the educational level of rural population of 15 years of age and over from 2002 to 2011. The aim was to perceive possible importance of human resources for cultural revival and social development of the villages in the Nišava region (Nišavski region) through the analysis of educational structure of the rural population.

Dobijeni rezultati bi trebalo da ukažu na promene školske spreme i obrazovnog nivoa seoskog stanovništva starijeg od 15 godina u periodu od 2002. do 2011. godine. Cilj je bio da se kroz analizu obrazovne strukture ruralnog stanovništva sagleda mogući značaj ljudskih resursa za kulturno oživljavanje i socijalni razvoj sela na prostoru Nišavske oblasti.

Tendencies in the respect of development pro-ecological behaviour of students

AB  - Taking into account the fact that intensifying problems concerning the environment, the young will be exposed to more risks in the future, it is very important to form their ecological consciousness and pro-ecological behaviour. The aim of this paper was to identify the level of pro-ecological behaviour of students, as well as to determine whether there are differences between students of different level of education and gender. Applying five-degree scale of pro-ecological behaviour, 252 primary and secondary students from Belgrade were interviewed. Results of the research show that students behave inadequately in the surrounding in some situations (dealing with garbage, saving water and energy in the household and pro-ecological consumption). It has been shown that in the respect of proecological behaviour, there are no statistically significant differences between students of different level of education and gender. Given results can point at the directions of formal education in the respect of development of ecological consciousness and pro-ecological habits of the young in Serbia.
AB  - Imajući u vidu činjenicu da će zbog intenziviranja problema u vezi sa životnom sredinom mladi biti izloženi sve većim rizicima u budućnosti, veoma je važno formirati njihovu ekološku svest i proekološko ponašanje. Cilj ovog rada je bio da se identifikuje nivo proekološkog ponašanja učenika, kao i da se utvrdi da li u tom pogledu postoje razlike između učenika različitog nivoa školovanja i pola. Primenom petostepene skale proekološkog ponašanja ukupno su ispitana dvesta pedeset dva učenika osnovnih i srednjih škola iz Beograda. Rezultati istraživanja ukazuju da učenici imaju neadekvatno ponašanje prema okruženju u pojedinim situacijama (postupanje sa otpadom, štednja vode i energije u domaćinstvu, proekološka potrošnja). Pokazalo se da u pogledu proekološkog ponašanja ne postoje statistički značajne razlike između učenika različitog nivoa školovanja i pola. Dobijeni rezultati mogu da ukažu na pravce delovanja formalnog obrazovanja u pogledu razvoja ekološke svesti i proekoloških navika mladih u Srbiji.

AB  - The aim of the study is to analyse trends regarding the implementation of environmental education in teaching geography and to determine the existing correlation between the elements of the teaching process such as: the presence of environmental topics in teaching of geography, dominant teaching methods, levels of students knowledge, and teachers' attitudes towards the importance of environmental education. The results show that environmental content is not present enough in practical work of geography teachers in elementary schools, that environmental topics are usually considered only declaratively, and that in those circumstances the possibility for students to form any kind of conceptual and procedural knowledge has been reduced to minimum. Most commonly applied approach is the transmission approach, while the student-directed methods are used less often. More frequent application of active learning strategies in the classroom shows significant linear correlation with the intensity of study of environmental topics, as well as the implementation of an interdisciplinary approach that leads to formation of conceptual and procedural knowledge of students. Linear regression analysis also confirms that the positive attitudes of teachers towards the educational importance of environmental education do not have significant influence on the change in their usual way of teaching.

abstract = "The aim of the study is to analyse trends regarding the implementation of environmental education in teaching geography and to determine the existing correlation between the elements of the teaching process such as: the presence of environmental topics in teaching of geography, dominant teaching methods, levels of students knowledge, and teachers' attitudes towards the importance of environmental education. AB  - Municipality of Negotin is an area of rural character, one of the most agrarian in Serbia. Rural development, as one of the areas of regional policy is a key instrument for the restructuring of the agricultural sector, has a task to focus and strategic use of the potential of attractive tourist village. At the time of increasing urbanization and globalization, specific indigenous settlements accurately reflect the spirit and tradition of ancient times are gaining a certain cultural, economic, and tourist importance. Municipality of Negotin has good conditions for the development of rural tourism thanks to its geographical position, varied landscape (vari­ous forms of recreation), gastronomy, folklore, rich cultural heritage. Rural tourism should contribute to the preservation of the rural environment and cultural heritage, but also economically motivate the local population to remain in the countryside. This form of tourism could contribute significantly to the protection of nature, but also to provide resources for the survival and development of the village.
AB  - Negotinska opština je prostor ruralnog karaktera, jedna od najagrarnijih u Srbiji. Ruralni razvoj, kao jedna od oblasti regionalne politike, klјučan je instrument za restrukturiranje polјoprivrednog sektora tj. ima zadatak da usmeri i strateški iskoristi potencijal turistički atraktivnih sela. U momentu pojačane urbanizacije i globalizacije, specifična autohtona naselјa koja verno odslikavaju duh i tradiciju prošlih vremena sve više dobijaju određeni kulturni, privredni, ali i turistički značaj. Negotinska opština ima dobre uslove za razvoj ruralnog turizma zahvalјujući geografskom položaju, raznolikom pejzažu (raznovrsni vidovi rekreacija), gastronomiji, folkloru, bogatoj kulturnoj baštini. Ruralni turizam trebalo bi da doprinese očuvanju seoske sredine i kulturne baštine, ali i ekonomski motiviše lokalno stanovništvo da ostane na selu. Ovaj vid turizma mogao bi značajno da doprinese zaštiti prirode, ali i da omogući sredstva za opstanak i razvoj sela.
