AB - The spatial structure of tourist attractions can be presented both qualitatively and quantitatively. One of the indicators of the spatial structure of tourism is the index of geographical concentration of tourist attractions. The geographical concentration of tourist attractions represents the ratio of the number of tourist attractions in the observed area and its structural parts and the total number of structural units of the analyzed area. This paper aims to determine the spatial distribution of attractions in the administrative territories of Belgrade municipalities and to establish correlations with tourist attendance. The number and spatial distribution of accommodation capacities are the largest in the central city municipalities so that the number of visitors is the largest in them. At the same time, the central city municipalities have the highest concentration of tourist attractions. For data collection, the authors used field research, OSM (Open Street Maps), Google maps, with software processing ArcGIS 10.2. The research results enabled the definition of the model of distribution of tourist attractions and indicated its application. This model of distribution of tourist attractions shows that they are mostly concentrated in the city center. This also means a small spatial connection of tourist attractions in the city center and peripheral parts.

AB - The objective of this investigation is to put in evidence the difficulties what it entails the so declaimed sustainable rural tourism development. For that aim, we have chosen two tourism clusters of rural areas corresponding to the Upper and Lower Danube, in a country in Eastern Europe of medium development like as Serbia. The comparison is one of the essential principles of geographical research and in this case are allowed establish differences and similarities between a nature destination with strong deficiencies of infrastructure. On the other side, it is evident an increasing presence of international tourism and destination with better services and predominance of historical and cultural attractions, more oriented to local tourism. The exhaustive bibliographical and field research are complemented by a deep geostatistical analysis of information which are collected from year to year by municipalities. The results obtained are brought knowledge with views to a strategic planning on the path of sustainability.

AB - This study gives an insight into the geographical distribution of the customary practices and the inter-cultural exchange between the societies that live in the Balkans. It focuses on finding the similarities and differences in some traditional customs of different nations practiced on St. George's Day. By examining and comparing practices of Orthodox rural communities of Slavic origin, some representable religious and magical rituals, folklore and traditions incorporated in the festivities dedicated to Saint George in three Balkan countries - Bulgaria, Serbia and Macedonia are presented. The legendary image of the Saint and his characteristics contributed to the numerous and various customs and traditions connected to communal celebrations which can be clearly spotted in the defined geographical area, especially among rural communities. Within parallel existence and interrelationship between Balkan communities and intermingling of nations, the common roots and the development of similar ethnographic heritage, certain overlapping between Bulgaria, Serbia and Macedonia in celebrating St. George's Day are evident.

AB - This study analyzed trends in the environmental knowledge, responsibility
and behaviour of primary and secondary school students in Serbia. It was
found that the majority of students showed responsible environmental attitudes, but
did not display sufficient environmental knowledge and pro-environmental behaviour
in all tested situations. The obtained results can help to identify social changes con-
cerning environmental protection in Serbia that can be anticipated, as well as future
directions for formal and informal education regarding the development of environ-
mental awareness and pro-environmental habits among young people in Serbia.

AB - During the turn of the century, the current data of registered fires in Stara planina were insufficient to up date and incomplete, which directly conditioned unintended purpose of prevention and fire protection. With the advent and development of new technologies (remote sensing, GIS, GPS, etc.), since 2010 various data patterns of fire have been collected, recorded, processed and analyzed. Based on the collected and processed data since 2010 preventive measures against fire and better management of natural resources of protected areas have been implemented. The aim of this paper is spatial analysis and mapping of risk zones of fire in Stara planina, consisting of different vegetation cover, the complex structure of the terrain and heterogeneous composition of the soil. In Stara planina, a total of 44505 fires in the open space, in the period from 2010 to 2012, was registered. Cartographic locating, plotting the recorded ''hot spots'' and analyzing topography (aspect, slope, etc) and collected data for this period, the authors identified and zoned endangered belts of Stara planina.
