AB - The relationship between the environment and tourism can be perceived from several different aspects. The concept of sustainability and its principles are one of the most frequently analysed approaches and the motivational basis for visiting can show how much the protected nature and healthy environment matter to the tourists. Based on the internal motivators, we examined whether the tourism in Derdap is controlled, on a smaller scale, and qualitatively focused. A total of 484 respondents participated in the survey research. The comparison of attitudes was performed in relation to the demographic attributes of the respondents (gender, age, education). Target getups of tourists who prefer sustainable tourism have been identified. Sustainable tourism is a significant determinant in the further development of tourism in the protected area National Park Derdap. The results of the research, based on 12 statements, performed t-testing and one-factor variance analysis (ANOVA), show that the visitors 'greatest interests are related to the environment (natural as well as cultural value of the area). The researched motivational factors (new experiences and events, relaxation and rest, acquiring new knowledge - cultural and educational motivation) are based on sustainability. The results of this research can be applied in practice by implementing them through various management and marketing plans in the National Park Derdap.

AB - HOLSAT instrument measures tourist satisfaction by comparing tourists' expectations and experience regarding various destination attributes. Destination image influences tourists' expectations, while experience in the destination modifies tourists' image perceptions, creating differences between pre-visit and post-visit images. Based on these relationships, which are theoretically explored in its first part, this study argues that HOLSAT may be used for destination image research. The second part of the study represents a demonstration of how HOLSAT may be used for measurement of both tourist satisfaction and destination image, whereby the research was conducted in Belgrade, a developing urban destination. The city's tourism industry and destination image were severely damaged in the 1990s, whereby they have started to slowly recover since 2000. Based on the results of the conducted survey, satisfactory and unsatisfactory destination attributes were identified, as well as positive and negative components of city's pre-visit destination image. The most important positive components are related to the destination's affordability, while the negative components are related to safety, cleanliness and the arrival station. Modifications of destination image caused by the visit were also identified. The biggest image improvement after the visit was registered in attributes related to safety and the friendliness of the local residents, while the negative modifications related to the public transport were identified as the most important ones.

AB - Tourist destination competitiveness, by the model proposed by Crouch and Ritchie, can be analysed on the basis of thirty-six attributes grouped under the following determinants: key resources and attractions, support factors, situational conditions, destination management and destination policy, planning and development. This paper analyses the key resources and attractions that include natural conditions, culture, activities, events and entertainment, superstructure and links to emission markets. By the use of the AHP method (Analytic Hierarchy Process), the hierarchy of four destinations of urban tourism in Serbia (Belgrade, Novi Sad, Kragujevac and Niš) was established.
Upotrebom AHP metode (analitički hijerarhijski proces) utvrđena je hijerarhija četiri destinacije gradskog turizma u Srbiji (Beograd, Novi Sad, Kragujevac i Niš).
