AB - Farm tourism is often considered a form of tourism whose main characteristic is sustainability. Nevertheless, the existing literature also provides a partial approach, where the development
of farm tourism is analyzed within the context of sustainable development and crisis situations, such
as the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of the paper is to analyze environmental, social, and economic
factors as vectors for the sustainable development of farm tourism by applying a specially designed
SFT model. An empirical study was carried out on a sample of nine farms in the peri-urban area of
the city of Novi Sad (the Republic of Serbia). Sustainable development was analyzed using dynamic
social, economic, and environmental indicators with the aim of finding a model that could be used to
ensure more stable economic income for the population, social equality, and environmental protection.
By applying the SFT model, it was determined that the current position of farm tourism is not fully
compliant with the aims of sustainable development due to its clearly dominant economic dimension
and less developed social and environmental sustainability. The results were further analyzed with
the aim of achieving a balanced development of farm tourism, which needs to be based on the
continued application of the concept of sustainability. The results could be used by public and private
institutions in the tourism sector, as well as creators of legal regulations and strategies in the field of
sustainable and rural tourism, with the aim of further developing and improving its sustainability.

AB - The key problem of rural settlements in the South Banat district lasted into the 21st century
through the spread of depopulated areas. Considering that settlements give a cultural
landscape its basic features, that they are the main bearers of functional organization, and
the hotspots of geo-spatial transformation, based on quantitative-qualitative indicators this
paper analyzes the spatial-demographic determinants of the development of 94
settlements, and the impact of depopulation on the changes in the surrounding forest
cover. The time span included in the analytical-statistical research of the demographic
components and forest dislocation lasted from 1990 to 2018. Geo-spatial data for forest
areas were taken from the Corine Land Cover database. The data obtained were then
turned into visual representations, or maps, using the GIS ArcMap 10.8. software. The
results indicated that total depopulation has been an ongoing, 30-years process in this
area on the one hand, while the forest cover in the depopulated settlements located on the
outskirts of the Deliblato sands (a special nature reserve) has decreased, and the forest
cover in the depopulated settlements in the zone of the Vršac mountains has increased, on
the other. These analyses are useful for obtaining more detailed insight into the state of
forested areas in this part of Serbia, which is the least afforested one.

AB - The sustainability of rural settlements in Serbia has become the main focus of strategic
rural development planning. Although it is still difficult to measure the quality of life of the citizens
of the Republic of Serbia, preliminary results show that it is necessary to go beyond the GDP as
the only or one of its most important indicators. A multidimensional approach and analysis at
the local level is necessary for more comprehensive insight into quality of life in order to avoid
erroneous or simplified conclusions. Striving to provide more detailed insight into the attitudes
and needs of the local population, this research uses a qualitative approach. Subjective measures
of how people feel and function in everyday life can predict future reactions, many of which are in
the domain of the interests of local public services. The aim of the research is to apply measurement
indicators through six dimensions of well-being in order to determine to what extent the inhabitants
of rural communities are satisfied with some indicators and how they assess their own well-being.
The research results illustrate the importance of understanding the needs of the local population and
the perception of overall life experience in monitoring balanced rural development. The research can
be adapted and applied to any rural community. Thus, only by developing a participatory approach
can one strive for community-based rural development.

AB - This paper focuses on the underground military galleries and countermine system of the Petrovaradin Fortress near Novi Sad (Serbia). The Petrovaradin Fortress was presented within the working group Underground Built Heritage Reuse and Valorisation Strategies on the COST action Underground4value as a good example of tourist valorised underground cultural heritage in Serbia. The goal of the paper is to consider as widely as possible the options that could contribute to the sustainability of these galleries. Numerous field observations, complex research of the literature as well as other available sources, and interviews with visitors to the fortress were necessary for this goal to be achieved. The paper has special historical and practical significance. On the one hand, it represents a record in time concerning the condition of the Petrovaradin Fortress. The practical significance is reflected in the scientific contribution based on the critical analysis of the results obtained from authorities on the Fortress and visitors, as well as the ideas that the authors conceived or adapted from similar sites in the world, assessing that these ideas can be applied to the Petrovaradin Fortress. The results of the paper explain the aspects of ecological, economic, and social sustainability of the Petrovaradin Fortress, and indicate the need for it to be supported by various institutions

kontinuirani proces u Republici Srpskoj se može posmatrati sa geografskog, sociološkog,
urbanističkog, ekonomskog, demografskog, ekološkog, politikološkog i drugih aspekata.
Urbanu mrežu Republike Srpske (Bosna i Hercegovina), s obzirom na društveno-istorijski razvoj

hijerarhijski nekompatibilni urbani sistemi. Prostorno i populaciono najveći gradovi, koji čine,
uslovno rečeno, kostur urbanog sistema Republike Srpske, locirani su duž transferzalnih i
longitudinalnih razvojnih osovina u dolinama velikih reka (Vrbas, Sava, Sana, Drina i Bosna).

AB - The accelerated development of humanity, i.e., all areas of human activity and especially those that have a negative effect on the nature of man and the environment, leads people to return to a preserved and undamaged environment through various activities, especially through recreation. The largest number of tourists in the world is generated by cities, so tourism mainly occurs as a product of the urban environment. Rural settlements, by contrast, are very weak generators of tourist demand, but they emerge as receptive areas that are able to meet the recreational and other needs of the urban population. Accordingly, the aim of the research is to highlight the problems of sustainable development in tourist settlements located in underdeveloped rural areas of Serbia. This work highlights the issues of rural tourism and leisure activities in underdeveloped parts of Serbia, with an emphasis on a pro-poor tourism strategy as a factor in the sustainable development of rural tourist resorts in Serbia.

AB - The spatial and demographic city growth, as well as the increasing urban concentration, have called into question the classic notion of the city. Given that the city is a complex human phenomenon, it is increasingly difficult today to determine the boundaries of the city, i.e. the zones where one city ends and another city begins. So, the city and its surroundings make an interdependent functional and spatial whole. The consequence of such development of the cities in the 19th century and their suburbanisation in the 20th century directly implies the emergence of complex types of morphological urban regions, i.e. the formation of an urban phenomenon - the megalopolis, which has not been precisely defined to date.

AB - Communal noise is the noise that comes from living together. It is the noise in the interior or exterior, whether in the working or living environment, spaces in public buildings or open public areas. The issue of communal noise has been partially resolved on paper by lows and by-lows on the permissible noise levels in the environment. However, the question is how much noise the community will tolerate, i.e, at what point citizens will start fighting noise. Numerous cities have signed strict regulations for reducing noise levels, both day and night, with a proposal for permitted limits. This paper presents commonly used methods for managing and protecting against the harmful effects of noise.

AB - This paper presents the results of empirical research on quality of life of rural residents in the border region of Srem. Purpose of this work was to establish attitudes to social factors which determine everyday life of local population, and to establish the general perception of their standard of living. The results presented here are based on statistical analysis in which four types of analysis were applied: descriptive statistical analysis, application of chi-square test, t-test for independent samples and factor analysis of variance ANOVA. In order to determine the significance of differences between groups, post-hoc Scheffe's test was used. The research has come to the conclusion that the population of the border region of Srem is not satisfied with their living standards, and the main issues are unemployment and low income.

abstract = "This paper presents the results of empirical research on quality of life of rural residents in the border region of Srem. The research has come to the conclusion that the population of the border region of Srem is not satisfied with their living standards, and the main issues are unemployment and low income.",
