AB - This paper presents part of the research in the field of human bioclimatology and refers to biothermal conditions in different geographical environments in Serbia: an urban area and a mountain of medium height. The goal of the paper was to show bioclimatic differences during the summer between the city of Belgrade (116 m a.s.l.) and the mountain resort of Zlatibor (1498 m a.s.l.). The basic principle of bioclimatic analysis is the human heat balance between man and environment. This methodological approach is a combination of physiological and meteorological parameters that result in thermophysiological bioclimatic indices: heat load (HL) in man and the Universal Thermal Climate Index (UTCI). For this analysis, weather data for July, as the warmest month, was obtained, using daily meteorological data for the decade from 2000 to 2010. Results for July indicate a considerable difference between the two abovementioned environments. HL in Belgrade was dominated by degrees of comfort "hot" and "extremely hot, with the highest value of 4.540, while for Zlatibor the dominant degree of comfort was "warm". The UTCI in Belgrade has dominated by strong heat stress and moderate heat stress, compared to Zlatibor where the UTCI is dominated by moderate heat stress. In addition, a significant part of the monitored decade on Mt. Zlatibor was without heat stress, with the exception of 2006 and 2007, indicating favorable biothermal characteristics. Therefore, compared to Belgrade, with its considerably lower overall heat stress Zlatibor has the characteristics of a site with favorable bioclimatic qualities.

AB - Our article describes cave Zeceva ledenjača, located on the southern slopes of the mountain Romanija. This cave is form of pit (a cold speleological object of a static ice pit type). Earlier it was known of ice exploitation, which was (until its artificial production) pulled out of the cave and delivered to hospitals, caterers and butchers in Sarajevo. The paper presents basic geographic, speleomorphological and morphometric characteristics of this cave, including its plan.
AB - Rad se odnosi na pećinu Zečeva ledenjača, koja se nalazi na južnim obroncima planine Romanije. Pećina pripada tipu ledenica i snežanica.

AB - A new genus (Punctoduvalius gen. n.) and a species of trechine ground beetles (Punctoduvalius orlovacensis sp. n.) from Bosnia and Herzegovina have been described and diagnosed. Punctoduvalius gen. n. is clearly distinct from all other phenetically close genera in many important respects, such as: the presence of depigmented reduced eyes, the presence of a pigmented eye border, the presence of deep and complete frontal furrows, the presence of tiny setae on the genae, the presence of distinct longitudinal fissures on the protibias, the ratio of length/width of the first protarsal article in males, the presence of two elytral discal setae, the presence of numerous setiferous punctures in interstrial spaces, the specific position of the humeral setae, and the specific shape of the copulatory piece. This new genus comprises four species: Punctoduvalius pilifer (Ganglbauer, 1891) (endogean from Mts. Treskavica and Bjelašnica, and from a cave on Mt. Visočica, Bosnia and Herzegovina), P. protectus (Winkler, 1926) (from the Pećina kod Ostojića Cave, Mt. Treskavica, and endogean from Mt. Jahorina, Bosnia and Herzegovina), P. brevipilosus (Knirsch, 1927) (endogean from Lupoglav Peak, Mt. Prenj, Bosnia and Herzegovina), and P. orlovacensis sp. n. (from the Orlovača Cave, village of Donje Biševo, near Pale, Bosnia and Herzegovina). The four species clearly differ in many important respects. The following three taxonomic changes are proposed: Punctoduvalius pilifer (Ganglbauer, 1891), comb. n., P. protectus (Winkler, 1926), comb. n., and P. brevipilosus (Knirsch, 1927), comb. n. The new genus and its members belong to an old separate phyletic lineage, distinct from all other existing species groups. Additionally, these forms are relict and endemic to the deep soil and caves of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

AB - The goal of this paper is to show possibilities of multidisciplinary approach to the bioclimatic research in tourism, particularly in the spa tourism. In addition to the treatment of various diseases with thermal and mineral water, mud, gas and healing climate, modern spa also implies their importance in disease prevention and more often in recreation. The idea of the paper is to present how weather can be evaluated for recreational needs in the spa resorts. The results show biothermal weather classification for recreation based on the outdoor human heat balance. In this analysis, daily meteorological data (meteorological station of Doboj) were used for two extreme months, January and July. Town of Doboj was taken for analysis because there is a spa resorts in its vicinity.

AB - Previous studies of the health spa resorts have included just balneo analysis. Spas and health resorts ha changed the concept of treatment. The earlier concept was included only long-term treatment and recovering old people and people with diseases. Today, spas and health resorts are based on prevention of illness. They promote service for people of all ages regardless of health status. Natural curative factors such as mineral water, healing mud, healing gases, healing climate (air bath) are important for the treatment of many diseases, recovery after injury illness, stress, prevention and recreation. This paper try to give a biclimatic analysis of the Visegrad in order to point up recreational value of this therapeutic spa. The subject of this paper is analyses of equivalent temperature, comfort zones and zones of stuffiness that are processed on the basis of the meteorological data for thirty years (1961-1990) observation in town of Visegrad. We use software with related database created by authors.

This paper try to give a biclimatic analysis of the Višegrad in order to point up recreational value of this therapeutic spa. The subject of this paper is analyses of equivalent temperature, comfort zones and zones of stuffiness that are processed on the basis of the meteorological data for thirty years (1961-1990) observation in town of Višegrad. We use software with related database created by authors.

To avoid the risks of uncontrolled waters, Zavojsko lake has been drained, in the second stage, during overhaul of landslide, the hydrotechnic measures have been taken at the dam, which was made stronger, strengthened and exceeded. It provided accumulation of Zavojsko lake with the water. Then, 520 hectare of the land have been flooded. Today, priority of the Zavojsko lake is in the water supply of the Pirot and Nis and hydroenergetic supply of the of the Water Power Plant in Pirot with the power of 80 MW which has been used from 1990. In this paper we describe how can new technologies be used in creating usefull hydro-technical objects

AB - The atmosphere is part of the environment in which the human body constantly seeks balance with the external environment. The reaction of an organism is a response to various physics and chemical processes in the atmosphere. By analyzing these aspects of environment, relevant to health, there is variety of complex effects presented with the bioclimatological indices. One of those indices is humidex used to describe how hot the weather feels to the average person by combining heat and humidity. The aim of the paper is to present how weather variables come together in order to give a elementary climate meaning for recreation within the health tourism. In this analysis, daily meteorological data were used for two extreme warm months, July and August (weather station in Banjo Luka). The final results show distribution of different degree of comfort caused by actual weather conditions. The idea is to show how weather can be evaluated for recreational needs in the health resorts around the city of Banja Luka.

AB - Biomass is biologically degradable material derived from living or recently living organisms. Its increased use can contribute the importation of many sustainable solutions for the energetic demands of humans. The goal of this article is to indicate the importance of biofuels, especially biodiesel, bioethanol and biogas, in the further development of Serbia. The use of biofuel doesn't lead to increasing the concentration of carbon-dioxide in the atmosphere. Thus, its impact on the consequences of global warming is positive. Because of the facts that the fossil fuels resources are limited, the oil is getting more expensive and the safety of oil apply is unsafe, it seems reasonable to consider energetic and economic efficiency of biofuel.

AB - Belgrade's suburban region of the Pancevacki Rit (378.6 km(2)) is located in the southwestern part of Banat, between the Danube and Tamis rivers. In the past, the Pancevacki Rit was typical marsh region, often flooded by rivers Danube and Tamis. Some areas of Pancevacki Rit were poorly populated, and people lived in pile dwellings (stilt houses), and because of that, village Borca was called Serbian Venice. By the construction of a dam, with an irregular oval shape, around the Pancevacki Rit, and melioration systems, in 1934th, this area has undergone landscape geography transformation, and from wetlands was converted to agricultural area, suitable for habitation. Thus, Pancevacki Rit has grown in Belgrade's suburban agricultural region with the largest agricultural conglomerate in Serbia - PIK. Belgrade, which supplies Belgrade and its catchment area with agricultural products. In this paper we analyze how new technologies can be used in creation of useful map of landscape geography transformation.

AB - Within specific ecological condition of Orlovača cave existed living world failing rich and large in number. They are adapted on absentia light as well as the other characteristic ecology parameter. On an occasion of researching and organizing Orlovača cave, several representative organisms were discovered. They have been convalescent at the Faculty of Biology in Belgrade. Climate parameters like air temperature and air humidity have been measured in some parts of the cave system which has provided a better understanding of microclimatic characteristics of the Orlovača cave as a habitat of troglobites as a specific cave fauna. In addition, Orlovača cave is a paleontological locality of the cave bear. In this research we created web oriented data base for presenting results and teaching students.

AB - Some types of tourism strongly depend of weather conditions. The aim of the paper is to present how weather variables come together in order to give a climate meaning for tourism. The study has a goal to present a bioclimate analysis of Banja Luka to explore climate-recreation relationship evaluating actual weather conditions. The analysis is based on the human heat balance through the bioclimate model manenvironment heat exchange. The final results show biothermal weather classification for recreation based on the outdoor human heat balance. In this analysis, daily meteorological data were used for two extreme months, January and July 1990 (meteorological station of Banja Luka). We use software with related database created by authors. The idea is to show how weather can be evaluated for recreational needs in the health resorts of Banja Luka surroundings within development of health tourism and spa therapy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
